The idea of the brand new logo comes from the CRYPTEXT, an imaginary device used by Dan Brown in his book "The Da Vinci Code", where it is described as a sort of safe used to hide an encrypted message. The term cryptex is a neologism coined by Brown from the fusion of cryptology (cryptology) and codex (manuscript).
The cylindrical object is composed of overlapping disks that rotate on the same axis, on which are engraved letters or numbers that align with each other create a code that allows to solve an enigma.
The vertical lines that divide the rotating disks facilitate the perception of vertical rotation as a simulation of movement and at the same time bars appear and lead us back to the idea of a closed environment in which people are "imprisoned" during escape room activities. This is why the original name of Alcatraz was born.
